I grieve over the ignorance and hatred that currently sweeps through our churches. I have fought that ignorance and hatred for twenty years, and I will continue to fight it with my dying breath. And, I will not surrender to this ignorance and hatred, even if it kills me. And it wouldn’t surprise me if it DID wind up killing me.
What would be so important that I would court physical harm and even death?
It’s a place. A tiny patch of ground that God claimed as His own. God called that tiny patch of ground Zion, and the forces of Satan have done their best to defame that tiny bit of real estate. But, Satan is losing.
Because God is a Zionist.
God is a Zionist
When I first arrived in Israel, to live, in 1992, I thought that I understood Israel. I had spent a lot of time studying Israel and the surrounding area. I read the newspapers and magazines. I did my very best to get the whole picture of what Israel was and is.
Well, two reason, God and History.
God And History
I had committed my life to serving God with every ounce of my being, and the Lord had led me to focus on that tiny patch of land. Furthermore, God showed me in the Bible that this tiny patch of land would figure prominently in the Last Days. And, I knew that we were IN the Last Days.
When I read the words of Jesus, it was clear to me that Jerusalem would mark the beginning of the Last Days. After all, it was Jesus who paid for my sins, so what He said was of supreme importance to me.
The other reason why I was interested in Israel was history. The confluence of events that led to the recreation of the State of Israel and then the capture of Jerusalem, was simply astounding. Never in history had such a thing happened, and I was captivated by the story.
What a tapestry of courage and miracles. Vast armies descended upon Israel and tried to wipe her out, yet she survived and increased in size. And, each time that the Arabs tried to sweep over Israel, they were destroyed.
What an utterly incredible thing. My young mind was entranced by the miracle of Israel. But, there were problems with my view of Israel.
A Corrupt Viewpoint
When I arrived at Ben-Gurion International Airport, I came with an astounding amount of intellectual baggage. I’d been through eight years of University and had been a vociferous consumer of everything that libraries and the mainstream media had to offer.
I had done my best to retain an objective point of view, but my viewpoint had been worn away. I was supportive of Israel, but I had some profound criticisms of the Jewish State. I believed that their human rights record was appalling. I felt that they could have done a better job making peace with the suffering Palestinians. I still believed that God was behind the miracles of Israel and Jerusalem, but I was also infected by the media’s bias against Israel.
The good thing is that it did not take long for me to realize how wrong I was. My study of military history had given me a unique viewpoint on how nations deal with war and insurgency, and when I looked closely at how Israel handled the Arabs, I was astounded.
In the history of the world, no nation has ever treated an implacable enemy with as much tolerance and humanity as Israel has – while in the midst of that conflict. I was amazed at what I saw, and my criticisms took a 180 degree turn. And, I became outraged at what the mainstream media in the US was doing to Israel. And, when I get upset, I write.
John Little Launches His First Websites
I started my first website about Israel, around 1996 or ’97. That eventually morphed into israeloutlook.com. Of all my websites, THAT one has sustained the most attack. In fact, it got taken down recently, and I need to get it back up.
The Muslims and the neo-Nazis are relentless!
I don’t mind the attacks. It just means that I’m over the target. I think of it as a back handed compliment. But, I’m not writing for the Muslims and neo-Nazis. I’m writing for my precious brothers and sisters in Christ who are victims of the horrible and horrifying deluge of lies.
When I started writing about Israel, I knew that there were many Christians who were being convinced that Israel was evil. And, I had an opportunity to watch the foul fiends of the media do their work. And, I was incandescent with anger at their horrible lies.
How DARE they lie like this? HOW DARE THEY!
The more time that I spent in Israel, the more I came face-to-face with the great suffering that every Israeli had gone through. As they poured out their stories to me, I was heartbroken at the pain that they had all been through. And, I wanted to make sure that their voice was heard.
Anti-Semitism Rises In Churches
Then, the rise of anti-Semitism in our churches began to rise. Of course, it had been rising for a long time, but I was seeing it more and more. The Arabs couldn’t defeat Israel on the battlefield, so they attempted to defeat Israel in the court of public opinion. And, they were succeeding. And, they ARE succeeding.
The question is whether you will let them succeed.
It is not possible to change the minds of those wish to believe a lie, and that is the vast majority of those who are not Christians. That’s why I don’t really try to speak to those who are unsaved, other than to demonstrate to others how evil and foolish their opinions are.
Why I Am Writing To YOU
No, my goal is to protect you, my brother and sister. YOU are the focus, because I know that lies are incredibly damaging to all who hold them. Lies will reach out and infect EVERYTHING that you know to be true. Given enough time, a well crafted lie will even threaten your relationship with God. And, I have seen that happen all too often.
You, on the other hand, have made a commitment to the truth. You love the truth. You want the truth. So, there’s a chance that what I have to say will be worthwhile. There’s a chance that YOU will be able to see how the foul fiends of this world have tarnished your ability to see.
I Get No Benefit From Writing ANY Of This
Please understand that I receive no benefit from any agreement or disagreement that you might have with me. I have no sponsors. I sell no products. I receive no donations. In fact, writing all this has had a negative impact upon my health.
Seriously, I kid you not. Before I began Omega Shock, I had not so much as HEARD of anything like Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP). Thankfully, its not life-threatening if taken care of, and I do. Mostly it’s just annoying.
And, it’s brought on by stress.
I didn’t really intend to talk about all that, except to point out that there is ZERO reason for me to be writing any of this to you… except one:
If I don’t warn you of the dangers that lie in front of you, God will have something to say to me, when I stand before Him. He will tell me that He gave me all of that knowledge and experience, and did nothing with it – if I did not do my very best to warn you of the lies and the truth. And, I’m a coward when it comes to guilt.
If you get caught in a lie, and it winds up killing you, I will feel a tremendous amount of guilt. If I don’t do my very best to give as loud a warning as I can, I will blame myself for each and every account of death and suffering that you may experience.
So, if you wish, you can chalk up this long talk as a cowardly attempt to avoid the pangs of a guilty conscience.
God Is A Zionist
The irony is, that I have YET to even GET to my main point. With almost 1400 words and not even getting past the introduction… I must be losing my touch. So, let me move into the main point:
GOD IS A ZIONIST!
Would you believe that I do not recall EVER using that as a title? And, when I did a search on Google, I found very few who used that statement as a title, too. And, I find that to be VERY strange.
Do a search for the word, Zion in the Bible. In fact, you don’t need to do it yourself, just click here:
The Bible uses the word Zion 153 times in the Bible. If you read through all of those verses, you will be getting some REALLY powerful stuff. In fact, the word ‘incredible’ doesn’t even BEGIN to describe the connection that God has for that tiny patch of ground.
Zion Is Jerusalem
And no, Zion is NOT Israel.
Please let that sink in a bit, because there has been a lot of foolishness about this topic. And, this point needs to be addressed directly and properly.
Zion is a patch of ground, on the southern part of a hill called Mount Moriah. It isn’t even ALL of the Mount Moriah. In fact, if it is just The City Of David, then you could walk across the width of the place in 30 seconds. I know, because Mrs. Little and I did that.
And yes, it really is THAT small.
But, did you notice how much attention that the world has given to that place, now that Israel has it?
It really is astounding to see just how much fighting is going on over Jerusalem. Countries have pulled out their embassies. The Palestinians have chosen annihilation, instead of peace. The Muslims have even introduced Jerusalem Day (aka, Quds Day) for the last Friday of Ramadan – which we are experiencing right now.
Are the Muslims celebrating the fact that the Jews control Jerusalem?
OF COURSE NOT!
Sorry to shout like that, but the insanity just never ends. And, Islam is definitely insane. Just look at how they promise to liberate Jerusalem and destroy the Jews? ALL of them!
Look at the symbols of the ‘Dome of the Rock’ that are a part of almost EVERY Muslim terrorist group. This focus on Jerusalem is astounding.
In fact, everyone on the face of the Earth wants to take Jerusalem from Israel. EVERYONE! That, just by itself, should send alarm bells ringing in your mind. If the world – under the control of Satan – wants pry Jerusalem from the hands of Israel, then there MUST be something important about that place.
Unfortunately, I’m not completely sure that I can tell you the core reason for why EVERYONE is focused on Jerusalem. I can tell you a few things. And, there are a number of WHATs involved. But, I believe we only know part of the story. As with so much in the Bible and this life, we will need to wait until the next life, to get all the answers. But, we CAN talk about he answers that have, and I will start by quoting from Ezekiel’s Fire.
In Luke 21, the disciples were admiring the Temple, exclaiming over how beautiful it was. Jesus proceeded to send them into a state of shock by saying:
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
After that horrifying statement, Jesus then launched into a description of what would happen over the next 40 years, before that moment in time. And, as we know, everything happened exactly as He described – especially with the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple – in AD 70.
That takes us to Luke 21:24. And, it is this verse that spans almost exactly 1900 years. It says this:
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The people referred to here were the Jews, and for almost 1900 years, they were scattered to literally the ends of the Earth. And, Jerusalem was indeed controlled by the non-Jews for that entire time.
And then… after 1897 years …something happened.
Time of the Gentiles Completed
Luke 21:24 indicates that when the Gentiles (i.e., non-Jews) no longer control Jerusalem, the period of time allotted to the Gentiles will have been fulfilled – or become complete. To put it another way, the period of time set aside for them will have been finished. The word ‘fulfilled’ is the same one used when talking about fulfillment of prophecy.
When did that happen?
On June 7th, 1967, Colonel Motti Gur cried out three words to General Narkis, and to the world, “haHar haBayit b’Yadenu!” (The Temple mount is in our hands). And, it marked the end of Gentile control of Jerusalem. Luke 21:24 had finally been fulfilled.
(A few hours later, my Dad suffered a terrible fright when he heard the news of Jerusalem’s capture on the radio, on his way to work and found that he had missed The Rapture.)
There is a picture running around somewhere of an Israeli flag flying from the top of the Dome of the Rock. That flag was ordered taken down by Moshe Dayan, but it remains as an incredibly symbolic moment in time.
So, can we say that Jerusalem is no longer ‘trodden down of the Gentiles’?
The Gentiles No Longer Control Jerusalem
I think so. For those of you not so sure, let me ask you this:
How do we know when someone is in control of something, in this day and age?
When you break the law in America, you go to an American court and you are penalized under American law. When I break the law here in Taipei, I go to a Taiwanese court and am penalized under Taiwanese law.
What happens when you break the law in any part of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount?
You go to an Israeli court, and you are penalized under Israeli law.
Here, let me emphasize this with a picture:
Those are Israeli policemen.
Does that give you an idea about WHO rules over the Temple Mount, and the law that prevails over it?
Yeah. It’s Israeli law, applied in Israeli courts. If you violate the law of Israel on the Temple Mount, you pay an Israeli fine or go to an Israeli jail.
Is there anyone ELSE who governs the Temple Mount?
No. Of course not. Otherwise, the Palestinians wouldn’t be nearly as desperate as they are now, to get control of that place.
However, please understand that Jesus specifically made the connection to Jerusalem, and I find that to be particularly significant. He was saying that Jerusalem was the key, not the Temple.
What It Means For Us
What does all this mean for us?
Well, when you keep reading through Luke 21, you see this verse:
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
So, there will be a generation that sees these things come to pass… and, it appears that THIS generation will not pass away, until everything happens.
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
THAT is the Last Days in a nutshell.
So, how much time do we have left?
Well, to answer that question, read the rest of that chapter, here:
And Yes, God Really IS A Zionist
Now, I would LOVE to continue telling you all the reasons why God really is a Zionist. But, when I thought of writing this piece, I wondered about whether someone else had given that title. And, I discovered that someone HAD done something on the subject:
YouTube shortlink: https://youtu.be/U1vwIsu8-wY
Wow. That was impressive. And, he directed himself at the Muslims, as well as Christians. I get a little nervous when I see something this good, because the person speaking might be promoting damnable heresy. But, I checked around in his videos.
Here’s his channel:
If you find anything bad, let me know, but I’ve decided to subscribe to his channel. And, I’ll be listening to more of his videos.
And, how can you ignore a video titled like THAT?
It is vital that you understand the importance and centrality of Jerusalem – aka, Zion. This isn’t some theoretical exercise in which we are free to take any position, comfortable in the thought that we will suffer no ill effects from being wrong.
No, this is life and death.
For you and for those that you love.
We are in the Last Days, and this period of time began more than 50 years ago. It is now time to face the implications of that and redouble our efforts to warn our brothers and sisters that the worst of times is upon us.
I sincerely doubt that many of you will die of old age.
